Consider Action to Approve a Resolution Confirming and Ratifying the Execution by the City Manager of An Application for An Extension of Time to Water Use Permit No. 5383B Filed with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and Authorizing the City Manager to Execute all documents, applications and agreements related to Water Use Permit No. 5383A and 5383B.

BACKGROUND:

As part of the agreement between the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and the Town of Addison, the Town is required to construct a well to pump water into the creek from the Trinity Aquifer. The Town is in the process of seeking an extension to the time by which the Town must begin construction of the well under Water Use Permit No. 5383B.

This item is to approve a resolution that would confirm and ratify the City Manager’s execution of that application. Furthermore, the resolution expressly authorizes the City Manager to execute any further documents related to the processing of Water Use Permit Numbers 5383A and 5383B that are currently pending before TCEQ.

RECOMMENDATION:

Administration recommends approval.
