AGENDA CAPTION:

Consider Action to Approve a Resolution for an Easement Between the Town of Addison and Kristin Middleton to Obtain a Drainage Easement on Private Property Located at 3907 Winter Park Lane Associated with the Sherlock Drainage Improvements and Authorize the City Manager to Execute the Agreement.

BACKGROUND:

In order to alleviate flooding in the area of Winter Park Lane and Sherlock Drive, the current storm drain pipe will be up-sized in order to increase the capacity of the system. The construction project will consist of the installation of a new 54' concrete reinforced pipe. The current easement is not large enough to accommodate that larger pipe and the other associated improvements. Therefore, the project requires that the existing easement be expanded to accommodate the larger pipe size.

The current easement is located at the 3907 Winter Park. The property owner, Kristen Middleton, has reviewed and approved the expanded easement language. Associated with this project is a new easement with Oncor Electric Delivery Company, LLC, which will be considered for approval by Council in a separate agenda item.

RECOMMENDATION:

Administration recommends approval.
