AGENDA CAPTION:

Consider Action to Approve a Resolution for a Contract Agreement with Tenly Landscape Construction, Inc. for Miscellaneous Landscape Planting Projects Throughout the Town and Authorize the City Manager to Execute the Agreement in an Amount not to Exceed $103,000.

BACKGROUND:

The Parks Department refurbishes and adds new landscaping in the Town through a unit price annual contract. Under this method, bidders submit a price for specific units (in this case plants). This saves the Parks Department from the task of repetitively requesting pricing each time landscape work is needed. Staff has budgeted $103,000 in the 2019 budget for miscellaneous planting.

This is an annual renewable contract that can be extended for (5) twelve-month periods under the same terms and conditions (subject to CPI increase approval). Two bids were received and Tenly Landscape Construction, Inc. was determined to be the responsible low bidder.
