AGENDA CAPTION:

Present, discuss, and consider action on an Ordinance to amend the Town's annual budget for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2026.

BACKGROUND:

The Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 Budget was adopted by the City Council on September 9, 2025. This is the first amendment to the FY2026 Town of Addison annual budget.

At the January 6, 2026 City Council Work Session, the Council directed staff to discontinue the Taste Addison event for 2026. This budget amendment removes the appropriation and revenue for the event from the Hotel Fund FY 2026 budget.

FISCAL IMPACT

Expenditures in the Hotel Fund will be reduced by $1,090,400 and revenues in the Hotel Fund will be reduced by $625,000 resulting in an increase to the budgeted ending fund balance of $465,400.

Administration recommends approval.
