AGENDA CAPTION:

Consider Action to Approve a Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Execute Easement and Property Acquisition Documents Necessary to Construct Public Improvements Associated with the Rerouting of the Basin I Sanitary Sewer Line Project.

BACKGROUND:

On April 24, 2018 Council authorized the rerouting of Addison’s sanitary sewer flow through easements along Beltway Drive to Midway Road into Addison’s sanitary sewer system to no longer send that sewer flow into the Farmers Branch sanitary sewer system. The design for the rerouting of the sewer line is 100% complete. The rerouting project will necessitate the acquisition of easements and property interests through negotiations.

This item asks that the Council authorize the City Manager to acquire easements and other real property interests that are necessary to allow completion of the sewer line reroute project.

RECOMMENDATION:

Administration recommends approval.
