AGENDA CAPTION:

Consider action on a Resolution approving an agreement between the Town of Addison, Texas and GNB Global Inc. for the canopy replacement on the Addison Airport Fuel Farm at 15701 Addison Road at Addison Airport and authorizing the City Manager to execute the agreement in an amount not to exceed $177,200.

BACKGROUND:

Airport Management seeks Council's approval of a Resolution approving an agreement with GNB Global Inc. for the replacement of the canopy on the Fuel Farm at 15701 Addison Road at Addison Airport. Originally constructed in 2004, the canopy was damaged in a severe storm in March 2023. An insurance claim was filed, and the total insured adjustment was $196,514.34 (less the deductible of $64,866, made for total insurance proceeds received of $131,648.34).

A Request for Proposal (RFP) was issued on February 26th and ended on March 21st. There were 3 respondents with GNB Global Inc. being the low bidder and the selected vendor. GNB Global Inc. is very experienced with similar projects and has provided an innovative approach to the project. The total cost of the canopy replacement will include additional, relatively minor costs as well.
