The Texas Constitution prescribes a written statement that all elected city officers must sign and an oath that all elected city officers must take before they enter upon the duties of their office. These actions are to occur after the election is canvassed.
The City Secretary will announce that the written statements have been completed. The agenda item will fulfill the oath requirement.
