Consider Action on a Resolution Approving an Agreement Between the Town of Addison and Kleen Pipe Inc. for the Repair of the Celestial Place Stormwater Piping and Authorizing the City Manager to Execute the Agreement in an Amount Not to Exceed $57,471.25.

The purpose of this item is to approve an agreement with Kleen Pipe to repair underground stormwater pipes on Celestial Place.

These services will be purchased through BuyBoard. This state-wide collective purchasing agency bids out services and products for its members to provide the leverage needed for better pricing on products, equipment, and services.

Town staff inspected the stormwater pipe last year after noticing some pavement failures in the area. It was discovered that the stormwater line underneath the street had separation at multiple pipe joints, allowing sediment and debris to infiltrate the stormwater line. The attached price quote reflects the cost of the needed stormwater line repairs. Another contractor will repair pavement damage caused by the infiltration of the stormwater pipes, which is not included in this Kleen Pipe agreement. 

This purchase was approved as a decision package as part of the FY23 budget process and is budgeted in the FY23 Stormwater Operations and Maintenance budget.

Administration recommends approval.
