Consider Action on the Rejection of Bids Received in Response to Bid #22-164 for Airport Perimeter Road Repairs.

BACKGROUND:

On August 3, 2022, staff issued a Request for Bid Number 22-164 Airport Perimeter Road Repairs. A project budget of $265,000 was established based on available FY22 funding. Bid responses from two construction companies were opened on August 25, 2022. The bid responses exceeded both the engineer's estimate and the available project budget.

Staff intends to revisit project design and scope elements and issue a new Request for Bids once changes in the project scope and design are finalized.
