AGENDA CAPTION:

Consider Action on a Resolution Approving a Professional Services Agreement Between the Town of Addison and Dunaway Associates, LLC. for Contract GIS Staffing and Authorizing the City Manager to Execute the Agreement in an Amount Not to Exceed $110,500.

BACKGROUND:

The purpose of this item is to approve a Professional Services Agreement (PSA) for Geographic Information System (GIS) staffing services with Dunaway Associates, LLC. (Dunaway) to assist with building and maintaining the Town's GIS database.

The scope of work for these services will include, but are not limited to:

Updating and maintaining the Town's geodatabase
Performing quality control of the Town's GIS data layers
Gathering, analyzing, and integrating spatial/geographic data
Updating the database with easements and as-built drawings
Updating and maintaining the Town's Digital Plan Room
Scanning various documents
Updating parcel data layers
Assisting staff and contractors with interpretations of GIS data
Providing basic CAD/GIS support
Utilizing GPS units when needed
Preparing various maps

Dunaway was selected for these services based on their submittal in response to the Town's Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for Professional Services (RFQ 17-180) and their past experience with these services. This RFQ identified various professional service providers that were placed on an approved list from which staff can select when professional services are needed. Dunaway has completed three successful projects for the Town on time and within budget. Dunaway provided the Town with these same contract GIS services during the Fiscal Year 2022, and the Town staff was very satisfied with their service.

If approved, these staffing services will start as soon as practical and end on September 30, 2023. These services are budgeted out of the Fiscal Year 2023 Storm Water and Utilities Operations and Maintenance Funds and are within budget.

RECOMMENDATION:

Administration recommends approval.
