AGENDA CAPTION:
Consider Action on a Resolution Approving an Agreement for Professional Services Between the Town of Addison and Dunaway Associates, LLC. for Contract GIS Staffing and Authorizing the City Manager to Execute the Agreement in an Amount Not to Exceed $87,000.
BACKGROUND:
The Town of Addison (Town) is seeking contract Geographic Information System (GIS) services to assist with building the Town’s GIS database. The services will be for basic GIS needs, including, but no limited to: updating and maintaining the Town’s geodatabase, performing quality control of the Town’s GIS data layers, gathering, analyzing, and integrating spatial/geographic data, updating database with easements and as-built drawings, updating and maintaining the Town’s Digital Plan Room, scanning plans, updating the parcel data layer, assisting staff and contractors with interpretation of GIS data, providing basic CAD/GIS support, utilizing GPS units when needed, and preparing various maps.
 
For contract GIS staffing services, the Town selected Dunaway Associates (Dunaway) based on their submittal in response to the Town's Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for Professional Services (RFQ 17-180). This RFQ identified various professional services providers that were placed on an approved list from which Staff can select when professional services are needed. Dunaway Associates has already completed two (2) separate projects for the Town successfully, on time and on budget. If approved, these staffing services will start as soon as practical and end September 30, 2022. These services are budgeted in the Storm Water and Utilities Projects Fund.
RECOMMENDATION:
Administration recommends approval.
