AGENDA CAPTION:

Consider Action on a Resolution Approving a License Agreement Between the Town of Addison and Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC. (Oncor) Providing for the Town's Access and Use of Certain Property Owned by Oncor for the Extension of the Redding Trail to Midway Road and Authorizing the City Manager to Execute the Agreement.

BACKGROUND:

In July 2020, Council Authorized an amendment to a License Agreement between the Town and Oncor for the Redding Trail. This amendment was triggered by an Oncor project to replace transmission towers located in the Redding Trail corridor. In that amendment, Oncor and the Town agreed to bring the Redding Trail more in compliance with Oncor's current Hike and Bike Guidelines.

Council also requested that Oncor consider issuing a License Agreement that would allow the Town to extend the Redding Trail to Midway Road. This agenda item brings forward a new License Agreement that would allow the trail extension.

RECOMMENDATION:

Administration recommends approval.
