AGENDA CAPTION:

Consider Action on a Resolution Approving Change Order No. 2 to the Contract Between the Town of Addison and Jim Bowman Construction Company LP for Concrete and Asphalt Repairs Providing for Additional Concrete and Asphalt Repairs Projects in Fiscal Year 2022 and Increasing the Annual Contract Amount by $1,980,000 for Said Fiscal Year; and Authorizing the City Manager to Execute the Change Order in an Amount Not to Exceed $1,980,000.

BACKGROUND:

On May 28, 2019, Council approved an Indefinite Duration Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with Jim Bowman Construction Company LP (Bowman) for concrete and asphalt repairs in an annual amount of $600,000.

For the Fiscal Year 2019, City Council approved Change Order #1 for one-time repairs in the amount of $610,645 for fire station driveways, Town Hall Drive, and the public portion of Lake Forest Drive repair projects.

As a part of the Fiscal Year 2022 budget, City Council approved additional funds that include $1,380,000 for repairs of Belt Line Road and Addison Road and $600,000 for street repairs at various locations around the Town for a total of $1,980,000. This change order is necessary to increase the contact amount to include these budgeted one-time repairs. This change order will increase the Fiscal Year 2022 annual spending limit on the IDIQ contract from $600,000 to $2,580,000.

RECOMMENDATION:

Administration recommends approval.
