AGENDA CAPTION:

Consider Action on a Resolution Appointing Janet DePuy, Mayor Pro-Tempore of the City of Richardson, as Primary Representative and Guillermo Quintanilla, Mayor Pro-Tempore of the Town of Addison, as the Alternate Representative to the Aggreated Position of Represenative to the Regional Transportation Council (RTC) of the North Central Texas Council of Governments.

BACKGROUND:

The Regional Transportation Council (RTC) is a forty-four (44) member independent transportation policymaking body which determines how regional transportation funds should be spent. The municipalities of Richardson and Addison share one representative. With this Resolution, the City Council appoints Richardson Mayor Pro-Tempore Janet Depuy as the Primary Representative with Addison Mayor Pro-Tempore Guillermo Quintanilla, Jr., as the Alternate Representative.

The City of Richardson and the Town of Addison rotate the appointments and collaborate to ensure the interests of both cities are represented. Most recently, Addison Council member Ivan Hughes served as the Primary Representative and Richardson Mayor Paul Voelker served as the Alternate Representative.

RECOMMENDATION:

Administration recommends approval.
